Little Tyson, and his grandpa entered the vacation cabin, and kept the lights off until they were inside to keep from attracting all sorts of pesky insects.
Still, a few fireflies made there way inside.
Noticing them before his grandpa did, Little Tyson whispered, "It's no use, Grandpa. The mosquitoes are coming after us with flashlights..."
Giant millipedes hold an odd sort of fascination with me - I am drawn to them at the pet store but know I could never bring one home. Not much makes me squeamish but I find millipedes make my skin crawl. I'm fine with spiders and other creepy crawlies (even hissing cockroaches), so I think it must be all those legs. Anyway, despite my unjustified phobia, millipedes are really quite striking to look at and make decent pets for those so inclined. http://glclk.about.com/?zi=11/1aQb
"The butterfly's attractiveness derives not only from colors and symmetry: deeper motives contribute to it. We would not think them so beautiful if they did not fly, or if they flew straight and briskly like bees, or if they stung..."
- Primo Levi
